When I was going to school 60% was an F. The following players have all averaged less than 60% of their possible Premier League matches:
Walcott (58%) — 53% if you count his first season where he played 0 of 19 games. Eboue (58%). van Persie (57%). Vermaelen (55%).
Denilson (53%). Diaby (52%). Rosicky (50%). Djourou (31%). Those 8 players average a playing rate of 52% of their available games played.
If the average player can be expected to play in 30 of the 38 Premier League games (78% rate) then these players are off by 26%.
